ABOUT US

Warren Childcare Centre opened in 1975 and is privately run. It operates from two main rooms within a community centre in a residential area of Kempston, near Bedford. Children have access to the fully enclosed outdoor play areas. The setting offers a range of childcare facilities including a pre-school, before and after school care and holiday care. Our provision reflects the four overreaching principles of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. They are:

A UNIQUE CHILD

Every child is a unique child who is constantly
learning and can be resilient, capable and
self-assured

POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS

Children learn to be strong and independent
through positive relationships.

LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

Children develop and learn in different ways and at
different rates. We help children continue to learn and
develop by providing activities that are appropriate for
their age and stage of development.

Enabling Environments

Children learn and develop well in enabling environments,
in which their experiences respond to their individual
needs and there is a strong partnership between
practitioners, parents and carers

OUR AIMS ARE:

•To provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age.

•To work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop.

•To add to the life and well-being of the local community.

•To offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.

OUR SERVICES

IMG_4901

We want your child to feel happy and safe with us. To make sure this is the case, your child's key person, and all of the staff, will work with you to decide on how to help your child settle into our Pre-school and ensure they benefit from the Pre-school's activities throughout their time with us.

Our sessions are organised so that the children can choose from, and work at, a range of activities. The children are also helped and encouraged to take part in adult-led small and large group activities, which introduce them to new experiences, gain new skills and encourage them to work with others.

The children also have the opportunity, and are encouraged, to take part in outdoor children-chosen and adult-led activities within our purpose built and fully enclosed play area.

IMG_4908 In our 2 year old room we have two dedicated members of staff each morning, plus the addition of a student most days. We provide age appropriate toys, equipment and activities in our specially laid out room. Parents are encouraged to stay for as long as it takes to settle their child and we will work closely with you to make settling in as painless as possible. If you need help with potty training we can help; we have all the necessary resources and the only things you will need to provide are clean clothes and nappies/pull-ups.

When your child reaches 2yrs 9months and there is a place available in our Pre-school, your child will have first choice in the sessions and move up to the Pre-school.
